PAN International and Meatless Monday launch collaboration to support healthier, more sustainable food choices

A new collaboration between PAN International and Meatless Monday will help bring practical, evidence-informed plant-forward action into healthcare, medical education and institutional food environments, supported by Meatless Monday’s scientific foundation, with the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future serving as science advisor.

PAN International and Meatless Monday have launched a new global collaboration to help bring healthier, more sustainable food choices into healthcare, medical education and institutional food environments. The initiative combines Meatless Monday’s globally recognised movement and practical tools with PAN’s medical expertise and implementation pathways, helping translate nutrition knowledge into practical action across hospitals, universities and other institutional settings.

Together, the two organisations will work to support meaningful, lasting dietary change through medically tailored recipes, student engagement and healthier hospital food initiatives, building on Meatless Monday’s strong scientific foundation with the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future serving as science advisor.

As part of the collaboration, PAN will host a dedicated Meatless Monday Health Accelerator space on PANCO, PAN’s global community platform. The space will offer practical resources, learning content and implementation ideas to support Meatless Monday activities across healthcare, medical education and institutional food settings.

“What makes this partnership especially valuable is the opportunity to translate nutrition knowledge into action in the spaces where food choices directly shape health.” — Kerstin Plehwe, PAN President and CEO

Over the coming year, the collaboration will support the development of new resources, content and initiatives, including medically tailored recipes, a co-branded recipe challenge, student-led engagement and integration into healthy hospital food initiatives. Together, PAN International and Meatless Monday aim to advance meaningful progress through nutrition for both human and planetary health.

Explore the Meatless Monday Health Accelerator on PANCO and follow the collaboration as new resources and initiatives roll out.
